Why You Should Support

Darton Health Professions Foundation cannot accomplish its goals without the generosity of individuals, corporations, and other foundations. It seeks to promote higher education, create scholarships, and develop and build endowments that support not only our students but also opportunities and programs throughout Southwest Georgia. While our focus is promoting the health science professions, many of the funds we steward are field-of-interest scholarships that benefit a wide array of post-secondary educational pursuits.

Your financial support today is an investment in tomorrow, as students positively impact quality-of-life and create economic strength in Southwest Georgia.

Albany-Dougherty County has a 33% poverty rate and is located in the second poorest region of the state.

Approximately 68% of the students in Southwest Georgia require some sort of tuition assistance in order to maintain their enrollment. We work with educators, department heads, employees, staff, and advisors who seek to foster and enhance career opportunities.

The Darton College of Health Professions continues to exceed state and national standards of comparable institutions. Darton’s phenomenal success in recent years – and the key to our future – is due in large part to philanthropic support from our founders, local graduates, and our community.

Private support from our alumni, local philanthropists, businesses, and individuals like you will continue to successfully lead Darton Health Professions Foundation into the future.
